The Midwest Performing Arts coaches cheerleading and dance. My friends Emily and Heather are the co-owners. Last Sunday, they organized an exhibition of the performances that will be performing next weekend at Nationals. This is Tanya, Buzzy and Gretchen performing their Lyrical routine.

227 - Blur
The blur in the front is my good friend Emily performing her open routine. The blur effect was achieved using the regular setting on my camera and the action still moving...

March 12 of 12 v3.0
You all know the drill! Check out Chad's blog for all the deets! On to my day! This is a timeless edition! (Unless there happens to be a time in the picture...)
My first early morning 12 of 12 shot! I didn't sleep that great. I've been sick the last few days and I think I was afraid that I would oversleep...
My new obsession! Gene Simmons! Not in a crazy stalker kind of obsessive way...LoL! His show, Family Jewels, is freakin' hysterical!
Amazingly enough after being out of the office for two days I only had one voice mail waiting for me....and it wasn't even a message for me.
Yes, there is liquor under my desk. It's a good thing I don't like Gin and am not a big Rum person. LoL!
The salad bar at Giant Eagle.
Me and my heffa, Melinda! I so did not know she was making a kissy face!
I went grocery shopping at the Eagle after work. Gotta try and earn those fuel perks! Gas is $3.45 a gallon in Columbus now.
I forgot to take a picture of my dinner: broiled lamb with lemon and garlic. So instead, I took a picture of the pan after I discarded the foil. Easy clean up!
Some leisurely reading for the evening. The newest People, my law school's annual report, and a prospectus from my mutual fund.
I forgot I signed up for a faculty development workshop tonight. Not too shabby...earning $50 as I prepare my 12 of 12! (The workshop is on in the background...) Hee Hee...

283 - Passport
My old passport (oh the times we had...Canada, Jamaica, Germany, Mexico...) and my new passport (oh the times we will have...France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland...)
125 - Take Away
My new favorite meal, Veggie Burger and simple salad, from my new favorite restaurant, Northstar. It's made with brown rice and black beans. Damn if it isn't the best tasting thing I've come across in a long time.

338 - Lamp
I actually took this picture earlier in the year and held it back to see if I came upon another lamp. However seeing as how I am very far bad in my photo taking, I thought it a good idea to go ahead and knock it off the list.
77 - Coins
I took several shots of my vase full of pennies trying to get a "cool" looking picture. This was my favorite because of the background effect.
33 - Stripes
I am replacing the previous Stripes entry. I like this picture so much better. These are two of my place mats purchased at Pottery Barn, during the height of my PB craze stage...

Running Angels
A very good friend of mine is running in a 178 mile relay race all in an effort to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. They are running in honor of their sister-in-law who passed away last year much too early from Breast Cancer.
Breast Cancer unfortunately takes too many lives each year. Candace and her friends are doing their part. Will you do yours? You can donate to their cause by clicking on the donate button in the widget to the right. Every little bit helps!

February 12 of 12 v.3.0
It's time for another super edition of Chad Darnell's 12 of 12! The idea of course is to take 12 pictures of your day on the 12th day of the month. This month we delve into the exciting day that a Tuesday has produced. The good news (or bad, depending on how you look at it) is that we got snow last night...which created several opportunities for pictures!
8:18 a.m. The view from my back door.
9:05 a.m. Yeah, I should have been at work already. I'm not even to I-70 yet....it's the overpass in the background, if you see past the snow/freezing rain coming down.
9:56 a.m. See what driving in snow/freezing rain can do to a windshield. I'm only now just getting to my work exit.
9:59 a.m. At this point, I'm already an hour late for work, so I thought I'd treat myself to my newest addiction....a Skinny Vanilla Mocha latte from Starbucks. I only wish it were a drive thru edition, rather than inside the Giant Eagle. It was cold this morning! Brrrr!
11:40 a.m. Filling out my paperwork to participate in the 5 person relay marathon at The Last Chance for Boston marathon this Sunday.
1:21 p.m. Yeah, it's not looking any better out there...

1:54 p.m. The fabulous Samsung Sch-740u. My lifeline. Texting is a wonderful thing! Doh! I just saw that the time on my camera is about five minutes fast! The beautiful baby on my phone is my best friend Kelly's son Eli!
2:23 p.m. Checking out the draft version of this 12 of 12. I am clearly bored at work and rather than waiting until the last minute, I thought I'd do it at work. :)
3:14 p.m. My mid-afternoon snack. White chocolate raspberry non-fat yogurt! YUMMO!

233 - Stamps
My dad had given me some old stamps he'd collected in the hopes I could figure out if they were worth anything. I never did. So if someone out there has any information on whether used stamps are worth anything, I'd appreciate a point in the right direction. :)
185 - Traffic
It took me two hours to get to work today. The road conditions in Columbus were not conducive to getting traffic through the city in a timely fashion... This is I-70 Westbound passing the Livingston Avenue curve.

Did You Hear?
The writer's strike is just about over! I say "just about" because the membership has to vote on whether to continue striking during the ratification process. Union members can be quite fickle and while this strike has gone on for longer than anyone had hoped, I won't believe the strike is over until the votes are counted. And even then, the agreement still has to be ratified. My experience with ratification and unions is that the members will do what the members will do, recommendations of the negotiating committee be damned. While my union membership is only 1800 people, the WGA's is considerably larger so who really knows what will happen.
Whatever the result, I hope the WGA is content with the deal it got. Happiness is often too much to ask, as it's impossible to make everyone happy.

Three Comedic Geniuses
This is just too funny to pass up despite the fact that Late Night is a struck show...
